Cinnamon the £110,000 Bear by Steiff

It made headlines all over the world. In 1994, a rare cinnamon-coloured, centre-seam Steiff teddy bear broke all records and sold for an incredible £110,000!

The bear was the lifelong companion of the late Colonel Bob Henderson, one of the world’s most respected teddy bear lovers. Together they shared the wonders of childhood and the realities of war, before working to spread the message that the bond between a boy and his teddy can last a lifetime.

It was this extraordinary story that persuaded Steiff to make a tribute to this record-breaking bear. And to make him even more special, he has a genuine Penny coin around his neck – minted in 1904 – the same year as the original bear was made.

Cinnamon is infused with the spirit of his famous ancestor. The rare centre-seam down the middle of his muzzle is present in just one out of every seven original Steiff bears. He has sparkling black boot-button eyes and his thick fur is made from glorious cinnamon-coloured mohair. He is also fully-jointed.

Cinnamon is being made in a strict limited edition. Only 1,904 bears can ever be produced.
