This nostalgic bear is based on an original teddy bear pattern that was produced during the war years. Tommy has been hand-crafted in the same traditional manner as those original bears.
He's made of the finest mohair, specially “aged” to give him all the character of a vintage teddy bear. Tommy’s smart uniform is inspired by the jacket and cap worn by British soldiers in 1914. His cap badge has an antique-bronze finish and is engraved with the words “Lest We Forget” and the years “1914-1918”.
Peeking out of Tommy’s pocket is a little mascot bear. These bears were often given to soldiers by their loved ones to bring them luck and return them home safely. This little mascot bear – lovingly hand-painted – is yours at no additional cost.
