Her father, the Grand Duke George Michailovich of Russia specially commissioned Steiff to produce a unique bear just for his Daughter. Xenia named him Alfonzo. He never left her side until she passed away. In 1989, Alfonzo became the first antique teddy bear to set a world record at auction.This latest addition to the series of Steiff mice with Teddy bears is simply charming. Xenia, who has jointed arms and head, has been crafted from wool plush, with hand-sewn features. Xenia is 3-way jointed, so you can pose her as you wish.
