British Coins of World War II – A Photographic History

The Second World War was one of the defining events in British history. The nation’s bravery, selflessness and resolve have never been forgotten – but it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain genuine historical artefacts from the war era.

But now, in remembrance of this pivotal period in history, we are proud to present British Coins of World War II – A Photographic History, a magnificent 63-coin collection uniquely integrated with stunning photographs that relive the greatest events of the war.

The collection includes every coin issued for circulation in Britain during World War II from 1939 to 1945 – every farthing, half-penny, penny, silver and nickel-brass threepence, silver sixpence, silver shilling (both the English and Scottish versions), silver florin and silver half crown. It is a truly complete and unbroken collection – and one that becomes harder to compile with every passing day.

Each coin is securely encapsulated – making it safe to examine without fear of damage – and is presented in a custom case depicting an historic photograph of a major war event that happened in the same year as the coin’s mintage. The coin also comes with a fact card that details the event. Together, the coins, photographs and fact cards create a profound and meaningful history of the war. 

You will also receive a specially designed wooden display chest to house the collection, yours at no additional charge. Featuring a glass-top and a silver lock and key, it’s the perfect place to store and organise your collection.

This collection of 63 coins allows you the convenience of building it item-by-item with a gradual payment plan. Each coin panel is £19.95 (plus p&h) and will be sent directly to your home at the rate of three every month.
