Some moments in time deserve to be honoured. Such is the case with Britain’s legendary half crown... the sought-after coin that ceased minting in 1967 and was consigned to history due to decimalisation. First minted in 1526, this classic favourite witnessed the changing British monarchy and holds a proud place in the nation’s monetary Royal portrait album.
You are invited to become one of the selected few collectors who can ever own a complete collection of every George VI and Elizabeth II half crown minted for circulation between 1936 and 1967. As time passes it has become increasingly difficult to find circulated, fine-condition examples of half crown coins, especially those from 1937–1946, which were minted in 50% silver.
This collection features a total of thirty handsome specimens. Half bear the portrait of George VI and half the obverse effigy of Elizabeth II… making this a complete collection of the circulating half crowns issued during the reigns of father and daughter. In particular, the 1953 first-year-of-issue Elizabeth II coin is the only one bearing the obverse “BRITT OMN,” which translates to “all the British territories.”
You will receive a handsome book-style display case at about the same time as your third shipment featuring a luxurious leather-like binding. It’s the ultimate presentation, and it’s yours at no additional charge.
Display is 9½" x 7⅞" x 1¾" (closed).
