Storming Normandy D-Day Coin Set
D-Day, June 6 1944, was the turning point of the Second World War. The invasion of Normandy was the largest and most complex air, sea, and land operation ever attempted, before or since.
We have brought together six coins from countries involved in the Normandy invasion – a sixpence from Great Britain, a U.S. nickel, a Canadian nickel, a French 2 franc, a Belgian 25 centimes coin and a German 5 Reichspfennig coin. These coins show evidence of the War, with some made of unconventional metals.
The coins are safely encapsulated and displayed in a sophisticated mahogany-style box.
Display measures 7¼” x 5½”. Grade and type may vary.
