The 2024 Silver Britannia Collection

Britannia has been depicted on Royal Mint coins for the reign of every monarch since Charles II. So, it was no surprise that when the 1oz silver Britannia coin was first introduced in 1997 it immediately captured the interest of collectors worldwide for its combination of inspired design and pure 99.9% silver content. In recent years, the Britannia range has expanded to include a quarter-ounce and a tenth-ounce silver coin to increase its appeal still further. Now, Danbury Mint has brought together a stunning collection of three silver bullion Britannia coins issued by the Royal Mint for this year.

The reverse of each coin features the classic standing portrait of Britannia, the female embodiment of Britain, created by sculptor Philip Nathan. In this world-famous portrayal, Britannia stands steadfast amongst crashing waves wearing a classic Corinthian helmet. In one hand, she holds a shield bearing the Union flag and an olive branch representing peace, and in the other, a trident representing her maritime history. On the obverse side of each coin, you’ll find Martin Jennings’ portrait of King Charles III along with the coin’s monetary denomination.

To proudly display your uncirculated silver coins, a luxurious wooden Display Chest is included with this collection. Gleaming silver-toned accents, a lock and key and a glass lid create the perfect presentation whilst also keeping your coins safe and free from dust and fingerprints. A Certificate of Authenticity is also included.
