Every year the Royal Mint produces a limited number of the nation’s circulating coins, officially known as definitives, in Proof condition. The Royal Mint then combines these coins with a select number of their favourite commemoratives from the year to make the highly sought-after annual sets. Danbury Mint has managed to acquire a small number of these sets for our collectors.

Your collection will include:

  • A complete set of circulating 2025 coins. Personally approved by His Majesty in 2023, each definitive coin bears a design inspired by the King’s love of conservation. Each design features a pattern of three interlocking C’s, which takes inspiration from the reign of Charles II and his royal cypher.
  • Five different commemorative coins celebrating some of the country’s most notable places, figures and institutions, including The Queen Mother £5 Crown, 200 Years of the Modern Railway £2 Coin, The Royal Observatory £2 coin, The Red Arrows 50p Coin and the Stories of the Second World War 50p Coin.
  • A deluxe wooden display chest, custom-crafted to display your collection and featuring a silver lock and key for added security. It will arrive in your second shipment, free of charge.

Each coin minted has been struck to Proof quality – the highest calibre of strike in the coin-collecting world. Using special polished dies, the coins have been individually struck at least twice to give them an unparalleled crispness of design. They have more detail, clearer relief, and a finer, smoother surface than coins struck to normal standards.
