For the first time in numismatic history, the U.S. Mint and The Royal Mint have collaborated to create a stunning original design: the first-ever single-design joint collaboration between two of the world’s largest mints! It is a special moment in U.S. and U.K. minting history, and the shared design featured on both U.S. and British issues is sure to be treasured by collectors across both nations.
The new design features the iconic symbols from each nation: Liberty — an allegorical figure whose representation has changed over time, but not the values she stands for — and Britannia — a female figure who has personified Britain since the second century AD. These figures have separately appeared on American and British coins for centuries but now, honouring the long and prosperous relationship between the two nations, they are depicted together! This same history-making design appears on both U.S. and British issues.
Each issue is certificated as an official Early Issue by leading independent authority PCGS — meaning it will be confirmed as having been released by the U.S. Mint and The Royal Mint within the first 20 business days of its initial U.S. issue. What’s more, each coin will be graded as Gem Uncirculated, one of the highest grades for any uncirculated coin or medal.
