Morgan Silver Dollars are considered by most to be the world’s most desired silver dollar and are avidly sought by collectors not only for their high 90% silver content, but also for their beautiful design and rich history. As a testament to its importance, the Morgan Silver Dollar is the only silver coin in U.S. history that was struck at five different branches of the U.S. Mint, and this five-coin collection includes one from each of these mints:

  • Philadelphia: America’s original mint, and the location where the iconic coin was first designed and minted.
  • San Francisco: Opened in 1854, the San Francisco Mint started producing Morgan Silver Dollars soon after the Philadelphia Mint in 1878.
  • Carson City: America’s “Wild West” mint was located closest to the Comstock Lode, which provided the silver used in their mintage, but only about two percent of the total mintage was struck in there.
  • New Orleans: Established in 1838, the mint first produced Morgan Silver Dollars in 1879, the first year it reopened after the Civil War, and continued to strike them until the end of their original mint run in 1904.
  • Denver: The Denver Mint only produced Morgan Silver Dollars in its final year of issue, in 1921, making up only about three percent of the coin’s total mintage.

The display measures 9" wide x 6" deep x 3" high
