Introduced in 1997 following the success of the gold Britannia, the Royal Mint started to produce a one ounce silver Britannia coin. Since 2013, the purity of the silver Britannia increase from 95.8% fineness to 99.9% fineness, one of the highest levels of purity you can find in a coin. You have the opportunity to own an heirloom treasury of silver Britannia coins — one from every year of mintage since 2013 – each composed of 99.9% pure silver and all in Brilliant Uncirculated condition!
On the reverse of each coin is the classic standing portrait of Britannia by artist Philip Nathan. In this original design she holds a shield in one hand and a trident in the other. On the obverse side of the coin you’ll find the portrait of either Elizabeth II or Charles III. The coins from 2013 to 2015 feature the fourth definitive UK coin portrait of Her Late Majesty by Ian Rank-Broadley. From 2016 the obverse featured the fifth portrait by Jody Clark.
You will also receive all three of the 2023 coins, that each feature three different portraits following the passing of Elizabeth II: the last-ever portrait of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Jody Clark, the first-ever portrait of King Charles III designed by Martin Jennings, and the special one-off coronation portrait of King Charles III designed by Martin Jennings.
Included at no extra charge, the deluxe glass-topped wooden Display Chest is the ideal way to store and exhibit the collection of Silver Britannia coins
Display is 7½" x 11” x 11".
