As dawn broke on 6th June 1944, the Allied forces stormed five beaches along the Normandy coast, marking the beginning of the end of World War II. Celebrate the 80th anniversary of this historic day and all the men who were involved with this stunning set of five genuine 1944 coins.
This collection contains both the English and Scottish-type shillings, as well as other iconic silver issues including the silver sixpence, florin and half-crown. Historic and of enduring value, these war-time issued coins total over a half ounce of precious silver! Your coins will arrive in fine condition or better, with all dates clearly visible. To protect them from further wear and tear, each is encapsulated and placed in the custom presentation case.
Furthermore, you will also receive a miniature replica of the France & Germany Star, awarded to all servicemen who fought in Normandy and Northern Europe during 1944 and 1945. It is gold plated for a perfect finish!
