James Bond: the unrivalled spy with magnetic appeal; fiercely loyal to King and country; connoisseur of a well-shaken martini. The suave MI6 agent has become an icon of British cinema. For over 60 years since the release of Dr No in 1962, 007’s heroic exploits have captivated audiences around the world. Now, the Royal Mint is celebrating the 25 films which have seen the legendary spy portrayed over the years with a set of brand-new fine silver bullion coins.
Each of the .999 silver bullion coins bears an iconic vehicle used by 007 in one of the James Bond films from that decade, from ‘Little Nellie’ as seen in You Only Live Twice and the the Lotus Esprit submarine car from The Spy Who Loved Me, to the Bede BD-5J ‘Acrostar’ plane from Octopussy and Q Branch’s speedboat from the The World Is Not Enough. Each design is set within the famous gun barrel border around the edge of the coin and finished with the famous 007 logo.
That’s not all. Look closely at the background and you’ll find the names of all the Bond films from that decade!
Each of the coins in the set contains one troy ounce of .999 silver and has been struck in stunning bullion condition and sonically sealed in crystal-clear airtight case for easy viewing.
What’s more, the collection is housed in a deluxe wooden display chest that is yours at no extra charge. It features a silver-toned lock and key for added security and an interior embossed with the collection title.
