This is a rare opportunity to acquire a coin collector’s dream: a complete portrait type-set of genuine 92.5% silver crowns from the reign of Queen Victoria. There’s the crownless “Young Head” portrait, the “Jubilee Head” introduced in 1887 to celebrate Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, and the “Old Head” or “Veiled Head” depicting an older, veiled Victoria in mourning for her husband, Prince Albert. The “Young Head” crown is particularly hard to come by, as it was minted for only three years!
The reverse of this coin features a shield design, while the reverses of the “Jubilee” and “Veiled” crowns bear Pistrucci’s St George and the Dragon. Befitting such a historic collection, the set arrives with a wooden display chest and certificate of authenticity – yours at no additional charge!
Coins are 38mm in diameter.
Display is 7¾” x 5½” x 1¾”.
