Before minting for circulation ceased in 1968, the florin received two designs during the reigns of George VI and Elizabeth II, both with a rose prominent. This magnificent collection brings together the last thirty florins featuring the rose designs. Your collection includes many notable issues, such as:
- The first and last George VI and Elizabeth II florins.
- The first florin to carry the words “Two Shillings” instead of “One Florin”.
- Ten 50% pure silver issues, including the very last silver florin from 1946.
Each historic coin is encapsulated for protection and housed in a handsome display chest which is yours with your third shipment, free of charge!
